The pandemic has made public pinball hard to find right now, but the folks at Solid State have gone to great lengths to create a safe indoor space that includes their 8 pinball machines. Each Saturday afternoon we’re hosting a tournament there for up to 16 people. No money, no world ranking points, just some good old fashioned fun! If your itching to get your game on and hang out with friendly folks, then this weekly event is right up your alley.

Tournament Style

3 Strike tournament, with balanced machine draws
Swiss style seeding
Doors open at 2PM
Tournament starts at 4PM and should run for less than 3 hours.

Safety Rules

No more than one person at a machine at a single time.
If you are not actively playing you must remain seated. This is a safety measure AND a NYS legal requirement — the bar can get in trouble if people are seen standing around.
Curtains between pinball machines must be used at all times.
Fans between each machine must remain on.
Masks must be worn when playing, and whenever you are not seated.
You are legally allowed to remove your mask when you are seated, however, out of respect for other participants, please wear your mask whenever you are seated with anyone outside your party.
Hand sanitizer is on hand and should be used

Solid State Safety Measures

Fans have been installed throughout to create ample airflow.
Air is sucked out of the building through the kitchen exhaust fan.
Merv-13 air filters (medical grade) have been installed in the HVAC system
Tables are 6 feet apart
Dividers have been set up between tables.
Curtains separate each pinball machine, and small fans are in place to keep the air circulating between each machine
Ample beer on hand to sooth the heart and soul

Because capacities are limited, those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP. Walk-ins are welcome, but the tournament will never exceed 16 people. Invite your friends and come join us, we’d love to see you!
